Welcome to K & R Quality Meats!

The potential for K & R Quality Meats to be born started 30 years ago when Rose Klippenstein, the wife of a hog farmer, who was used to eating quality pork, wanted to buy quality beef and other meat products. Through the right connection she was able to source quality meat for herself and a few friends. Well, it didn't take long before the word of Rose's quality meat at a great price got out, and the rest is history. Now, Rose has partnered with her daughter-in-law Karen, and K & R Quality Meats was born!

Why order meat from us?

We are committed to serving our customers quality products with great service and a fair price.

1. We are committed to quality products which means that you can try our products with confidence because if you are not satisfied with one of our products we promise to make it right!

2. Our customers are our family. We love meeting them on pickup days and helping them find the meat products they love. Many of the items we sell were added because one of our customers wanted them. We want our customers to know that we are here for them to answer their questions, find their products, and help with special requests.

3. We strive to offer as many of our products as close to sale prices as we can. Of course, we cannot compete with "loss leaders" in the store but because of our business model we can keep our prices competitive.

Most of our products come vacuum packed in individual or 1 lb packages (see pictures below for example). This allows you to save money by buying in bulk because they store nicely in the freezer for a long time, not to mention the convenience of being able to take 1 lb of meat or one steak out at a time and being able to defrost them quickly in hot water when you forget to take out the meat for supper!

Where does our meat come from?

As my (Karen) in-laws are hog farmers, you can imagine that we care a lot about Canadian farmers! When you purchase Canadian meat, you are supporting local farmers like my in-laws across this country! We are proud to serve quality meat from our Canadian farmers. Our beef is from mainly from Western Canada (Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) known for raising the best beef in Canada! We are proud to serve Manitoba pork, known for producing the best pork in the country, and quality Manitoba raised chicken. You will love the taste of the quality Canadian meat from our local Canadian farmers!

Our Business:

We are a small family business that relies on quality products, excellent service, great prices, and word of mouth to grow! We are not a butcher shop we are an online order and pickup service. We source quality meat products from different producers and make them available to you in one easy order form and convenient pickup locations.

We currently offer order pickup locations or delivery to Winnipeg (Westwood and St. Vital areas) and Niverville.
